ABOUT JAXSON PAYERO

Jaxson started racing karts in September, 2022 immediately after his 5th birthday. After his first race, he told his team he “needed more speed”. He raced karts for the 2023-2024 seasons. In 2025, Jaxson advanced to a Jr. Sprint car. He finished the season as 2025 Rookie of the Year for Wingless Wednesdays and 2025 Jr. Sprint Champion for Super Saturdays at Shellhammer’s Dirt Track. Jaxson participated in the 2026 Tulsa Shootout making it to the B-main. He started 12th and finished 9th in the qualifier. Although he did not make it to the A-main, the lessons he learned at Tulsa were invaluable. This trip set the way for the 2026 season for Jaxson and his team. The goal for this season was to continue developing Jaxson’s race craft. He has been working to increase his speed, maintain his line and gain confidence when passing. The team actively seeks races with larger car counts at different tracks. As of August 15, Jaxson has participated in 36 races in 2026. He has raced at Shellhammer Dirt Track, Trenton, McGrewbid Motoplex, Linda’s Speedway, Greenwood Valley Action Track, Spirit Speedway, Clyde Martin Speedway, Action Track USA, Speedway at Pagoda, and Millbridge Speedway. He has had 3 first place finishes at Shellhammer Dirt Track. He has had 11 top 5 finishes and 10 top 10 finishes. In addition to the Tulsa Shootout, the season has been highlighted with Jaxson’s participation in Hyper Racing 600 Speedweek and the KKM Giveback Challenge/Northeast Outlaw Invasion. In addition to developing his race skills, Jaxson makes an effort to learn all he can about maintaining his Jr. Sprint and preparing it for each race based on track conditions. Jaxson recognizes that seat time is important and will never turn down an opportunity to race. He is excited for the remainder of the season and looks forward to racing in the 2027 Tulsa Shootout. Jaxson recognizes that none of this is possible without the generous support of his family, friends and sponsors.

  • What does PTC stand for in the team name?

Paradise in a Tin Can. Jaxson’s family likes to camp. This was the name of his grandfather’s RV repair service, which was the team’s largest sponsor when we first started kart racing. We have talked about changing the team’s name but Jaxson wants to keep the original name of PTC Racing.
