McKenna Morgan is a 16-year-old race car driver from Washington State who has grown up with racing as more than just a weekend hobby. For McKenna, motorsports is a passion, a classroom, and a future she is working toward one race at a time. Behind the wheel McKenna competes in 600cc Micro Sprint racing, calling Deming Speedway her home track. After building her experience and success in go karts, quarter midget, junior sprints and the Restricted division, she made the move into the highly competitive A-Class for the 2026 season, taking on faster cars, experienced drivers, and a whole new level of competition. McKenna’s racing resume already includes multiple wins and championships, along with six Sportsman of the Year awards at Deming Speedway, what she views as her biggest accomplishment. But what truly sets McKenna apart happens just as much in the shop as it does on the racetrack. McKenna takes an active role in maintaining, preparing, and setting up her own race car. From changing torsion bars and adjusting the car for different track conditions to maintaining her methanol fuel system and performing routine race-prep, she is committed to understanding the mechanical side of motorsports. She estimates that she handles approximately 99% of the maintenance on her race car, giving her an understanding of the machine beneath her that goes far beyond simply driving it. That mechanical interest carries into school, where McKenna has maintained straight A's and competed in FFA Agricultural Mechanics, earning a place on a state competition team as its only female member. Her long-term goal is to combine her experience behind the wheel, knowledge in the shop, and education to pursue Motorsports Engineering at Purdue University.
